Upon completion of this continuing education program, participants will be better able to:

  1. Discuss the relationship between the obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease (CVD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
  2. Describe how patients with these conditions will normally progress down a cascade leading to poor outcomes.
  3. Identify and address key barriers to patients with these common metabolic conditions.
  4. Determine the most appropriate interventions to consider that provide a holistic approach to addressing the underlying medical conditions of type 2 diabetes, obesity, NAFLD and/or CVD.
