This program is based on the 2017 Recognition and Management of Severe Asthma: Canadian Thoracic Society Position Statement, supported by reviews and randomized controlled trials where available, and features expert opinion agreed upon by unanimous consensus of the position statement authors.
This one-hour accredited eCME, developed in collaboration with the Canadian Thoracic Society, is directed to health practitioners who diagnose, treat, and manage adults and children with severe asthma. The program features two cases, one adult and one pediatric, woven throughout that highlight key learning points.

Learning objectives
After successful completion of the program, the participant will be able to:
- Distinguish between severe asthma and uncontrolled but not severe asthma;
