Les pharmaciens sont idéalement positionnés pour aider à prendre en charge la constipation, en particulier parce que cette affection est habituellement facile à traiter, est peu souvent causée par une maladie grave, et nécessite peu fréquemment des investigations approfondies. La constipation a comme caractéristique que le même traitement peut servir à la fois à atténuer les symptômes et à traiter le dysfonctionnement sous-jacent, qui fréquemment s’avère être un trouble intestinal fonctionnel.

Learning objectives

  • discuter des mythes et idées fausses qui prévalent au sujet de la constipation et des laxatifs;
  • reconnaître le rôle du pharmacien dans l’offre de conseils aux patients au sujet des options de traitement pour la constipation.
