Primary CV Prevention in Type 2 Diabetes
Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in people with diabetes. Over the last decade, there has been a transition from focusing solely on glycemic control in people with type 2 diabetes, but also on reducing the risk of negative cardiovascular outcome. In this podcast, Drs. Sara Stafford and Jeff Winterstein review how primary care clinicians can reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in their patients with type 2 diabetes with cardiovascular risk factors.
