Learning objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the importance of a multifactorial approach to pharmacotherapy in the management of type 2 diabetes, including glycaemic control, weight reduction, increasing physical activity, improving dyslipidaemia and CV risk reduction
- Understand the importance of weight on the management type 2 diabetes and antihyperglycaemic selection
- Facilitate clinical decision making for selecting the appropriate class of drug for the individual patient
- Review the importance of frailty on antihyperglycaemic selection and diabetes management
