La prévalence du déficit en testostérone (DT) au Canada est estimée à environ 25 % chez les hommes entre 40 et 62 ans. La reconnaissance et le traitement du DT sont importants, car il est associé à des symptômes significatifs et à de nombreuses comorbidités, étant susceptible d’avoir un impact négatif sur la qualité de vie. La familiarisation des cliniciens avec l’évolution des options de traitement disponibles pour le DT contribuera à approfondir leurs connaissances et à mieux comprendre ce trouble, aidant ainsi les cliniciens à mieux accompagner les patients qui en souffrent dans le cadre de leur pratique clinique. ​
