Learning objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the key aspects of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the impact to the patient across the lifespan
- Review the treatment options, place in therapy and side effects of medications commonly used in ADHD management for adults and children
- Discuss the differences between bioequivalence and clinical equivalence of ADHD medications and how/why this is important from a pharmacist recommendation and patient care perspective
- Capitalize on the opportunity for the pharmacist-patient relationship to optimize the care and outcomes of patients with ADHD; specifically, monitoring the health and progress of patients in response to drug therapy and advising patients about medications including possible side effects
