Learning objectives
After reviewing the presentation, participants will be able to:
Video 1: Approach to the Hyperthyroid Child
1. Recognize the diagnosis of Graves’ disease in children.
2. Identify current treatment options that include antithyroid drugs (ATD), radioactive iodine (iodine-131) and subtotal or near-total thyroidectomy and their associated challenges.
3. Utilize the goals of treatment that include efficient control of symptoms and restoration of euthyroidism, balanced by the least adverse effects and cost-effectiveness.

1. Identify factors that predict future growth response.
2. Recognize current GH treatments, including monitoring and follow-up.
3. Engage in management of GH deficiency.
