As an initially asymptomatic disease, open angle glaucoma is the most common form of irreversible blindness in the world. Fortunately, vision loss may be slowed if effective treatment is initiated in a timely manner.
This program supports pharmacists in optimizing the medical management of patients with glaucoma by reviewing treatment options to ensure effective management of patients with glaucoma through the disease continuum. Using a case-study format, the program will review the treatment of glaucoma with topical agents, common situations that may prompt treatment adjustment, and strategies to optimize adherence to topical medications.
This program has received an educational grant or in-kind support from Allergan.
