Hyperkalemia is a frequent and dangerous clinical challenge in the medical management of patients on renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitor (RAASi) therapy. RAASi therapy provides many health benefits to patients with renal dysfunction and heart disease. Patients on RAASi therapy experience hyperkalemia and often need dose adjustments or discontinuation to address the hyperkalemia.
