Menopause and Cognition: What You Need to Know
Brain fog, which refers to cognitive difficulties experienced during the menopausal transition, is common in midlife women. An estimated 40-60% of women experience cognitive symptoms, with changes in memory and attention being among the most commonly reported symptoms. Hormonal fluctuations, particularly in estrogen levels, play a significant role in these cognitive changes. Understanding and addressing these symptoms is crucial to improving quality of life and long-term cognitive health outcomes for women during and after menopause. This program will provide participants with key information about cognitive symptoms commonly associated with menopause and therapeutic interventions to support patients during this critical life stage.
