À la fin de ce programme de formation continue, les participants seront mieux outillés pour :

  • Décrire le rôle de la stabilité du film lacrymal, des perturbations nociceptives et de l’inflammation dans la pathogenèse de la sécheresse oculaire (SO);
  • Appliquer les définitions et classifications du rapport DEWS IIMC de la TFOS (TFOS DEWS IIMC) afin de reconnaître et d’évaluer la sécheresse oculaire;
  • Différencier les options thérapeutiques dans la sécheresse oculaire;
  • Conseiller efficacement les patients à propos des effets secondaires possibles de certains traitements pour la sécheresse oculaire;
  • Formuler des recommandations pour la prise en charge de la sécheresse oculaire conformément aux lignes directrices canadiennes.
