Influenza in 2020: The changing vaccine landscape for adults aged 65 and over

Seasonal influenza vaccination remains the primary approach to preventing influenza and significantly reducing associated complications. As a result, increasing influenza vaccination coverage of older adults is important in promoting healthy ageing. General practitioners play an important role in educating and providing advice to patients that help overcome vaccine hesitancy.

This 1 hour accredited program summarises the importance of enhanced vaccines in older adults due to immunosenescence and inflammaging. Featuring two cases studies and expert video questions, the program highlights the important role that General Practitioners play in counselling and educating their patients about influenza vaccination.
