At the end of this module, you will be better able to:

  • Describe the diagnostic criteria and options for secondary prophylaxis in antiphospholipid syndrome
  • Identify cancer patients at high risk of VTE and describe appropriate anticoagulation protocols
  • Describe diagnostic criteria for post thrombotic syndrome and patient selection criteria for lower limb thrombolysis
  • Recognise the theory behind decompressive surgery and limitations of current diagnostic criteria for venous thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Discuss management options for idiopathic upper extremity deep vein thrombosis
