Learning objectives

At the end of this module, you will be better able to:

  • Define the clinical staging, treatment indications and key prognostic factors for CLL
  • Describe the mechanisms of action of targeted treatments for CLL and the rationale for treatment selection in frontline and relapsed or refractory CLL
  • Discuss the progression-free survival outcomes for both chemotherapy and newer targeted treatments used in CLL
  • Identify important adverse reactions to treatments used in CLL and strategies for managing them

The curriculum is endorsed by the RACP/RCPA Committee for Joint College training in Haematology (CJCT) and the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ). Fellows of the RACP may claim CPD hours under the CPD Program (CPDP).
