In Canada, vaccine hesitancy is defined as \u201creluctance to receive recommended vaccination because of concerns and doubts or refusal of one, many or all vaccines.\u201d While most individuals follow the recommended guidelines for immunization and available vaccines, there are still about 70% of parents who are concerned about side effects.
