This new option increases the antibody response to the omicron variant as well as every other previous variant. This new option will only be effective if eligible patients receive the booster. With each subsequent dose of COVID-19 vaccines, the uptake by Canadians has been less and this increases the risk of serious complications due to COVID-19.
