At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:- Identify appropriate patients for screening of the lipid profile;
- Stratify patients into low-, moderate- and high-risk groups using the Framingham Risk Score for CVD;
- Identify patients for whom a measurement of hsCRP provides additional important information in CV risk assessment;
- Use apolipoprotein B as an alternate to LDL-C as the primary target for lipid lowering; and
- Identify the goals of lipid-lowering treatment for low-, moderate- and high-risk patients.
